I paid a quick visit to one of the gravel pits on the Water Park this afternoon, the sun had gone but it was still pretty warm.
On the water's edge were a couple of little ringed plovers, shelduck, lapwings and mallards. Walking along between the hedgerows I spotted a couple of female black tailed skimmers which flew down into the grass. Also a banded demoiselle and my first beautiful demoiselle, a new species for my records.
